Just wanted to share my latest designs, which are now being stocked by a German 3D printing company. I am really excited about this! I am not sure what printers he has but they seem to be very high resolution. Dwarf Cruiser Dwarf light cruiser Freighter Bomber tab Gun platforms (I copied the old forge world platforms)

Journey into 3d Design for Battlefleet Gothic

Image
It has been a while since I have updated my blog as I have been spending my time by delving into the world of 3d design and trying my hand at creating ships for Battlefleet Gothic. I have opened up a cults3d shop where almost all of my designs are available for FREE   https://cults3d.com/en/users/Fusion_Shipyards/3d-models The program I have been using just runs from your web browser www.tinkercad.com  and has been brilliant for an amateur like me to get to grips with 3d design as it feels a bit like digital lego. After a while I got confident with making my own shapes and then started adding my own shapes to these digital designs. Using this method I was able to make some ships that

I collected them in a haphazard way, one terradon, one cold one... couple of skink archers etc.. very random but fine considering I never gamed with them. That has now all changed now with the introduction to my wargaming club wycombe warband - https://www.facebook.com/groups/397460790427301 of the game Dragon Rampant. The game doesn't have lizardmen but instead works on generics.. "heavy infantry", "big monster" etc.... which is great as everybody is fielding some very old school Ral Partha minis from the 70s... So with this in mind, I took a visit to my parents and dug out my ancient lizardmen models. Some were in pretty poor shape but nothing that I cannot fix. Luckily the paint I applied as a 13 year old kid wasn't overl
