Tabletop-stuff recently did a test print of my models and they came out amazingly well. I am not sure what printers he has but they seem to be very high resolution.

Updated 12/03/2024 A lot has changed since I last played this game (many moons ago) however since GW killed off the game back in 2013, the community has forged ahead and taken ownership of the game.  The rules are now freely available online as a living rulebook named Battlefleet Gothic Remastered. There are also some fan rulesets out there called Battlefleet Gothic XR and BFG 2020, but it is recommended you start off with BFG Remastered. For models there are some great 3rd party designs and 3d printing has really come to the rescue with there being some awesome free STL files out there. Samurai Minis comparison and review

There has been some discussion on the interwebs with regards to the various sizes "28mm" minis come in. Of course people come in all shapes and sizes but I think it is useful to know the general scales that the various manufactures tend to use. In addition to the height, the proportions and anatomical accuracy can be quite different with some minis having excessively large heads/hands etc.. Please keep in mind that Footsore and Bac Ninh have a mixture of sculptors, which leads to some scale differences in their range. Dropzone Commander!

Long have I obsessed over dropzone commander and now the time has come to take the plunge and buy in. I have always admired the awesome model designs and the lore/story seems interesting. But first, a little history.... Dropzone commander was created by Dave Lewis of Hawk Wargames who made everything.. the lore, rules, cad designs, models.. the lot! The game got off to a great start and was fairly popular, however over the years it declined rapidly. I am not sure why but I think there had been operational/supply issues and a disastrous kickstarter for a spinoff game (dropfleet commander), which seemed to have killed off a lot of goodwill towards the company. The company was in difficulty and was eventually bought by TTCombat. The game continued and was re-released with an updated ruleset (Battle for earth).
